What Is a Listing Walk-Through Video?

A listing walk-through is the full-length video of a home in the order a showing goes — exterior, entry, living, kitchen, bedrooms, feature, exterior again — one to three minutes, wide, with a title card per room. It is the video for the listing page, the MLS and the buyer who is deciding whether to visit; the reel is its 20-second cousin for social.

How it differs from the reel

The reel is short, vertical and front-loaded for a feed; the walk-through is long, wide and complete for a buyer who has already stopped. Both come from the same clips, cut to different lengths — the length guide has the numbers.

How it differs from a 3D tour

A 3D tour lets the buyer click through a model; a walk-through shows them the house the way a showing does, with the agent's order and pace. Many listings use both; the video is the one that gets shared.

How it is made from photos

Three to five photos per room become one 5-second clip with a camera move; the clips are cut together in showing order with title cards. The listing video guide covers the whole process.

Questions

Does a walk-through need narration?

Title cards and captions do the job; narration is optional and only if the voice is good. See the music and voice-over guide.

How long should it be?

One to three minutes for a house; longer, chaptered, for a ranch or an estate.
