The 3 photos to take
Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.

Tips for a better parallax reveal
- Choose a foreground object with a clean edge; a doorframe is ideal.
- Move in a straight line sideways, keeping the phone pointed the same way.
- Let the last photo be completely clear — nothing in the foreground at all.
Mistakes to avoid
- Turning the phone to follow the room instead of sliding past the foreground.
- A foreground object so large it hides the whole room in the first photo.
- Stepping forward as you slide, which changes the size of everything.

How many photos does a parallax reveal need?

What if there is nothing in the foreground to reveal from behind?
Then use a truck instead — the same sideways move without the wipe. The reveal only works when there is a real object near the camera; putting a plant there for the shot is fine, as long as it is in all three photos.
