How to Make a View Push Real Estate Video

A view push crosses the room and finishes at the glass, on the view. It makes the view the destination of the shot rather than a bright patch in the corner of a photo, which is exactly how a buyer experiences it at a showing.

What the view push does

The camera travels across the room to the window and settles on the view. Cross the room and settle on the view outside.

See the move

Pushes to the window. Push to the window. Inside the app, every move also has a 3D preview of the rig and the exact photo map it asks for.

The direction and feel of view push, drawn on one sample photo — not a rendered clip. Villenza builds the real clip from your own three photos, opening on the first and landing on the last.

Best rooms for a view push

  • Rooms with a water, mountain or city view
  • Apartments where the window is the reason to buy
  • Living rooms with a large picture window
  • Bedrooms with a balcony door and a view beyond

The 3 photos to take

Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.

  1. 1

    Room and window

From the far side of the room, photograph toward the window with the view in it — this is the opening frame.

  2. 2

    Halfway to the glass

Half the distance to the window, same height, the view growing.

  3. 3

    At the window

Right at the glass, framing the view — where the push finishes.

Tips for a better view push

  • Expose for the view in all three photos so the glass does not blow out.
  • Walk straight at the window; keep the horizon level.
  • Shoot the last photo close enough that the frame of the window is at the edges, not the middle.

Mistakes to avoid

  • A last photo taken through a dirty or reflective pane.
  • Blown-out white windows in the first photo and a perfect view in the last.
  • Approaching at an angle so the view slides sideways as you go.

Questions

How many photos does a view push need?

3 photos of the same room: first room and window, then halfway to the glass, last at the window. Take them in one visit in the same light — the view push opens on the first and lands on the last.

What if the view is only visible from one spot in the room?

Start there. The first photo can be from a few steps back, the second closer, the third at the glass — the push does not need to cross the whole room, only to end on the view.

Is the view push included on every Villenza plan?

Yes — the view push, like every reveal move, is on every plan at the same 720p HD output; plans differ only in listings per month.
