What the tilt down does
You stand still and tip the camera downward, from the ceiling to the table or floor. From the chandelier or beams down to the table or floor detail.
See the move
Tips downward. Swivel downward. Inside the app, every move also has a 3D preview of the rig and the exact photo map it asks for.
Best rooms for a tilt down
- Dining rooms with a statement light fitting
- Entry halls with a tall ceiling and a feature floor
- Kitchens with pendant lights over the island
- Bathrooms with a skylight above a freestanding tub
The 3 photos to take
Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.
- 1
Look up
Same spot — angle up at the ceiling, chandelier or beams. This is the opening frame.
- 2
Part way down
Same spot — angle down about halfway, catching the tops of the furniture.
- 3
Look down
Same spot — angle down at the table, rug or floor detail. This is where the tilt finishes.
Tips for a better tilt down
- Pick the landing detail first: the table, the tub, the rug. Frame it before you frame the ceiling.
- Keep your feet planted and only change the angle between the three photos.
- Level the phone at the finish so the last photo has straight verticals.
Mistakes to avoid
- Stepping forward between photos — a tilt is a swivel, not a walk.
- A ceiling photo taken from a different spot than the floor photo.
- Finishing on a blank stretch of floor with nothing to land on.

Questions
How many photos does a tilt down need?
3 photos of the same room: first look up, then part way down, last look down. Take them in one visit in the same light — the tilt down opens on the first and lands on the last.
Tilt up or tilt down — which should I use?
Tilt up when the ceiling is the feature and you want to end on height. Tilt down when the ceiling is the introduction and the room's real subject is at table level — a dining table, a tub, a rug. If you have both photos, you can make both clips from the same spot.
Is the tilt down included on every Villenza plan?
Yes — the tilt down, like every swivel move, is on every plan at the same 720p HD output; plans differ only in listings per month.
