What the slide up does
The whole camera travels straight up, lens staying level. Uncover volume, vaulted ceilings and detail.
See the move
Slides up. Rise straight up. Inside the app, every move also has a 3D preview of the rig and the exact photo map it asks for.
Best rooms for a slide up
- Two-storey great rooms
- Walls of windows
- Tall built-in shelving
- Staircases seen from the front
The 3 photos to take
Take them in one visit, in the same light. The first photo is where the clip opens and the last is where it lands, so shoot them in the order the camera should travel.
- 1
Standing height
Normal standing height, pointing level — this is the opening frame.
- 2
Just overhead
Same spot, camera a little above your head, lens still level.
- 3
Top of the rise
Same spot — camera as high as you can hold it, lens still level, not tilted up.
Tips for a better slide up
- Keep the lens level the whole way — rise, don't tilt.
- Use a monopod or a step for the highest photo.
- Stay on exactly the same spot for all three.
Mistakes to avoid
- Angling up at the top, which turns it into a tilt.
- Leaning sideways as you reach up.
- Rising in a room with nothing tall to show.
Not sure your photos will work? The AI Listing Planner reads a folder of photos, picks the move each room can support, and says what to re-shoot when a set won't work.
Questions
How many photos does a slide up need?
3 photos of the same room: first standing height, then just overhead, last top of the rise. Take them in one visit in the same light — the slide up opens on the first and lands on the last.
How high does the top photo need to be?
As high as you can safely hold the camera with the lens still level — overhead at arm's length, or from a step. The difference between the three heights is the distance the camera travels.
Is the slide up included on every Villenza plan?
Yes — the slide up, like every travel move, is on every plan at the same 720p HD output; plans differ only in listings per month.
