Aerial moves for size and access
- Drone top-down from high above, sinking toward the lot — the closest a video gets to a plat.
- Drone fly-over from the road across the parcel, showing access and depth.
- Aerial pass along the frontage for road access and neighbours.
Drone photos are required for these, and in the US commercial drone work needs an FAA Part 107 certificate. Many agents hire a licensed operator for stills and build the clips from those.
Ground level: what it feels like
A tracking walk along the main track and a dolly toward the best view point do what an aerial cannot: show the slope, the trees, and where a house might sit. Shoot in the same light for all three photos of each clip; on land, the light changes fast.
Keep it inside the boundary
A drone clip that pans across the neighbour's pasture implies it is included. Plan each aerial so the move starts and ends on the parcel, and say in the caption what the video shows. The clip will not extend beyond your last photo, so choose that photo with the boundary in mind.
Questions
Can I video land without a drone?
Partly. Ground tracking and dolly clips show the feel, and a crane-style rise from a high point shows some extent. For size and access, aerial photos are the honest way.
How do I show utilities, wells or road frontage?
Photograph them and mention them in the caption. A clip that dollies toward a well head or an electrical pole makes it findable, but the caption carries the facts.
